Für das \(n\)-te und \(n-1\)-te Glied der Folge lässt sich durch die Definition folgende Matrix-Vektor-Gleichung aufstellen: \(\begin{pmatrix} f_n \\ f_{n-1}\end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix} 10 & -24 \\ 1 & 0 \end{pmatrix}\begin{pmatrix} f_{n-1} \\ f_{n-2}\end{pmatrix}\) mit \(A := \begin{pmatrix} 10 & -24 \\ 1 & 0 \end{pmatrix}\).
